Calen Carr is a Brooklyn based match analyst for Major League Soccer on Apple TV. A former striker for Chicago Fire and Houston Dynamo, Carr played for eight years in Major League Soccer, winning the US Open Cup, becoming a 2x MLS Cup Finalist, and competing in the CONCACAF Champions League. Carr scored the opening goal of the 2012 MLS Cup against LA Galaxy.
Carr has since gone on to host and produce documentary work on MLS Soccer Culture and appeared on VICE News Tonight as well as being a contributor on SKY Sports News, TNT, and The Guggenheim’s “Works and Process” series.
Born and raised in Berkeley, CA, Carr is a graduate of UC Berkeley in Media Studies.
At Berkeley, Carr won the Pac-12 Player of the Year award, the Pac-12 Medal, All-American, and was named to the Pac-12 All-Century team. In 2019, Carr was inducted into the UC Berkeley Athletics Hall of Fame.
